Is May over yet?

This has been a pretty rough month for Sam and Addie (and Mom and Dad). In the last 3 weeks, we've been to the pediatrician 3 times, urgent care once and the Children's Hospital ER once. We've conquered 2 upper respiratory infections, one viral infection that sent Sam's fever to 105 several times, and we are learning to cope with Addie's newly discovered Breath Holding Spells (she basically cries till she can't breath, turns blue and passes out - fun!).

On the positive side, Sam is an amazing talker these days and Addie is pulling herself up on furniture and starting to cruise. So I guess it all works out in the end, right?

The latest

Here's what's up in the Jones household. Sam is suffering through (though suffering is highly extreme) his first upper respiratory infection - that we know of. I say this because other than one day last week him grabbing his ears after a rough night of sleep, he's been showing no outward symptoms. Then this weekend, the eye funk arrived, gluing Sam's eyes shut overnight. Well, that sent us to the Dr's where we discovered the culprit. In all honesty, the little guy has been a trooper and he loves his medicine.

Addie on the other hand is growing leeps and bounds. She is now a full fledged crawler, likes to play with whatever Sam is playing with, yells at Mom and me when we are eating because she wants it too, that has led us to feeding her solid foods (she had some pizza crust tonight), and her sleep patterns are a bit off (because she sits up when she wakes up in the middle of the night and sitting up is not conducive to going back to sleep). Besides that, she is cute as a button.

Mom and Dad are doing well, but are tired and ready for a relaxing weekend at the (frigid-cold) farm. Now that everyone's caught up, I'm headed to bed. ;)
