Ah that language train is always chugging!
Yesterday, I was trying to talk to Sam about formal names and nicknames.
Me: "You have two names. What are your two names?"
Sam: "Yammy Jones"
Me: (Laugh)"You're right! Those are two names"
(trying again) Me: "What's your formal name?"
Sam: (very enthusiastically) "BIG BOY!"
Me: (Laughing even harder)
And today Addie had her own special moment. Her first sign-language! While we were out shopping, she started whapping at her chin and fussing in her carseat after she ate a teething biscuit. It took me a moment to realize that she was, without doubt, doing the sign for water - three fingers on the chin (or her version of it). Guess I better go learn some more sign language!!
